Unit D101 is a genuinely beachfront condo: it sits at beach level in Building D at Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina, the building nearest the water, and its living area opens through wall-to-wall glass doors onto a covered patio two steps from the sand. There is no street to cross and no stairs to climb.
Because it is a corner unit, you see the beach from two sides — the half-mile white-sand main beach on one, and the coral beach and marina on the other. The resort's multi-tier freshwater pool, which overlooks the Caribbean, is a few steps from the patio in the other direction.

What beachfront actually means here
Two beaches, one patio, no stairs in between
Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina is the only property sitting directly on Sapphire Beach, and it has two stretches of shore: the half-mile white-sand beach shaded with palms, and a coral beach on the marina side. Unit D101's corner position means both are in view, which is why guests keep writing that there is no better spot on the property.
The practical version: you can carry a coffee out to the hammock at sunrise, walk to the water without shoes, come back for lunch in your own kitchen, and be back on a lounge chair in three minutes. The beach chairs, floats, noodles and cooler live in a box on the patio.
Sunrise happens over St. John and Tortola, straight out from the pool deck. In the evening the lights of St. John come on across the water while you sit out with a drink and listen to the band at the beach bar.
